Bringing our writing to life

Over the past two weeks our Stage 3 teachers and students have engaged in an exciting new project called ‘Bringing our writing to life.’ The purpose of this project is to consolidate the brilliant learning that has happened and allow the students to represent their quality writing samples in new and creative ways. To do this students have been exploring different techniques used to create multimodal texts with the aim to utilise some of these strategies to bring their texts to life through animation. In week 10 we are extremely fortunate to have Paul Hamilton from Using Technology Better provide us with a series of workshops to help equip our students with the skills to bring their visions of their writing to reality. This will include three one hour workshops on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On Monday we will also have some representatives from the Catholic Education Office and Holy Spirit College come out to speak to our students and teachers about this new and innovative process that has led to such high quality learning and student engagement. 

Assembly

On Friday of week 10 we will continue our fortnightly assembly via zoom. Once again members from our Year 6 leadership team will be supporting us in leading this assembly. The structure will once again include our regular awards, prayer and The Leader In Me activities and key messages.
