Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back to Term 3! I sincerely hope that all families were able to spend time together, relax and recharge the batteries. We enter Term 3 with the uncertainty of the impact of Covid and the flu season. With restrictions as they are at the present we are planning for many great experiences for parent engagement and student learning opportunities. You will see in today’s newsletter some of the great things that we are looking at in particular in Week 5 & 6

During the school holidays NAIDOC week was celebrated and acknowledged. As a school we are celebrating NAIDOC week over the first 2 weeks of school. The students will be involved in morning prayer at the Morning assembly, a liturgy and some art activities in the classroom.

This year's NAIDOC 2022 theme is Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! a theme that calls for all of us to support and secure institutional, structural, collaborative, and cooperative reforms that ensures the relationship between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non Indigenous Australians is based on justice, equity, and the proper recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ rights.

During NAIDOC, we remember the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples of our country and celebrate their rich cultures and inspiring contributions to Australia.
