Student Absences, Early Departures and Late Arrivals

A student’s attendance at school is an important part of their learning journey. Not only is it a legal requirement but it also forms a critical part of their social, emotional and academic growth as a young person.

There have been many children turning up to school late and leaving early. Please limit appointments to before or after school hours and attempt to have holiday breaks during the school vacation period. If your child is running late and has arrived after 9am they MUST be signed in by an adult, please do not drop them off at the school gate and allow them to come through the office unattended.

As a school we are following the CEO Dow Policy & Procedure and some families may receive a letter raising an awareness of emerging attendance concerns, asking families to explain unexplained absences or advising of consistent late arrival. If you have any questions about this correspondence, please contact the school.

Thank you for your co operation with this procedure.

COVID-smart measures in schools for Term 4

Removal of isolation requirements from 14 October 2022

National Cabinet has announced the decision to remove the isolation requirements for positive COVID-19 cases from 14 October 2022. CSNSW is working with NESA and the other school sectors to ensure that they have the most current information to align advice, particularly for HSC students as they sit their written exams.

Supervision at school

Morning supervision begins at 8.30am. Please note that children are unsupervised before this time.

Christmas Story Art Exhibition

Congratulations to Tori G who has had her artwork selected to be displayed at the Wollongong Art Gallery and be a part of the next level competition. Good luck Tori!
