It is with mixed emotions that we share that Miss Emma Wragge and Miss Madeleine Negus have been successful in obtaining employment at St Joseph’s Bulli in 2023. We also congratulate Mrs Kate Kors who will be part time at St Joseph’s Bulli in 2023. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Miss Wragge, Miss Negus and Mrs Kors for their dedication and commitment to St Michael’s over the years.
We welcome Miss Pamela Di Domizio who will be joining the St Michael’s community in 2023 as a classroom teacher. Miss Di Domizio is an experienced teacher from St Anthony’s Picton, we look forward to welcoming Miss Di Domizio to our wonderful community.

Annual School Report
It is that time of year again where we gather your thoughts and insights into what we are doing well and what areas we could focus on. This will inform the parent feedback section of the Annual School Report.
If you could spare a couple of minutes to complete the survey that would be greatly appreciated.

The New Bubblers!
Thank you to all of our families who supported the Trivia night, either through your attendance or donations. Some of the money has been used to install a new bubbler and water bottle filling station for our students. The children are loving the new addition!
SMT TALENT SHOWCASE 2022
This year we will hold a Talent Showcase on Thursday, 15th December (Week 10). A Showcase means there will be an opportunity for students to share their talents by performing in a concert style experience rather than a competitive nature where places are given. This has been a great success in previous years with many performances on the day.
The Talent Showcase will start at 9.30am in the school hall. Students in Kindergarten - Year 2 will perform first, followed by Year 3 and Year 4 and then Year 5 and Year 6. A program will be displayed outside the hall closer to the day.
See below some points to note about the Talent Showcase:
- students are allowed to enter in one item
- participation is optional
- students can enter as an individual item or with a group of their friends
- students can choose to do one of the following items: instrumental, dance/physie, drama, jokes, singing or magic
- items need to be well rehearsed before the day
We ask parents to view their child’s performance before the day. If your child is dancing or singing to a song, please make sure that the lyrics are appropriate, likewise if they are presenting jokes as their item.
A note will be going home over the next week via Compass. This will need to be filled out if your child is keen to perform this year. Could you please make sure that this note is completed by Monday, 5th December.
All students will be presented with a participation certificate and we look forward to the talent that will be shared with us on the day.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Mini Vinnies
This term, the Mini Vinnies will be raising funds for St Vincent De Paul through arts and crafts workshops each lunch time in week 8.
Students will have the opportunity to make cards, gift tags, and other Christmas crafts that they can take home or kindly donate to those less fortunate than us.
In order for this fundraiser to be successful, students will need to bring in a gold coin donation to participate.
The workshop dates are as follows:
Monday Week 8 lunchtime = Year 5 and Year 6
Tuesday Week 8 lunchtime = Year 3 and Year 4
Wednesday Week 8 lunchtime = Kindy, Year 1 and Year 2
Please note that if your child is unable to attend their lunchtime workshop they are more than welcome to join in any workshop.
All donations will be going straight to St Vincent De Paul thanks to our representative John Dening.
We hope to see as many students at these workshops to spread the love of Christmas time and raise money for those less fortunate than us.

Christmas Eve Mass in our Parish School.
Christmas Eve Mass will be in our Parish School grounds at 6:30pm on Saturday, 24 December. Children are involved in the readings and “walk-on non-talking” parts, e.g., carrying up candles, the bread and wine etc. If you would like your daughter or son to be involved, please email the Parish Office thirroul@dow.org.au giving name, phone number and “job” they would prefer to do. Also, singers are needed to help lead the singing … anyone from five years to 105 years are welcome! Also, adult parishioners are needed as “Safety Officers / Ushers” at the 6:30pm Mass – you don’t have to be on the usual Safety Officers Roster. Please contact the Parish Office by 5 December.
Other Christmas Masses are: Christmas Eve 9:30pm at Thirroul and Christmas Day 9:00am at Thirroul.
